Our solar system looks like a deflated croissant, NASA has revealed after developing a new prediction of the shape of the magnetic bubble surrounding our solar system.
science tech
Using data from NASA missions, an updated model of our solar system suggests the shape of the Sun's bubble of influence, the heliosphere, may be a deflated croissant shape, rather than the long-tailed comet shape suggested by other research.
The shape of the heliosphere is more than a question of academic curiosity. The heliosphere acts as our solar system's shield against the rest of the galaxy

SpaceX Spacesuits Gets High Ratings From NASA Astronauts
Firstly, the new SpaceX spacesuits give a movie-star look to it, something that astronauts Doug Hurley and Bob Behnken enjoyed during the Demo-2 test flight to ISS. As a stark contrast to the NASA spacesuit, often teased as the 'pumpkin suit', the SpaceX spacesuits are all white, giving it a better aesthetic vibe.

Black hole's heart still beating
The first confirmed heartbeat of a supermassive black hole is still going strong more than ten years after first being observed.
X-ray satellite observations spotted the repeated beat after its signal had been blocked by our Sun for a number of years.
Astronomers say this is the most long lived heartbeat ever seen in a black hole and tells us more about the size and structure close to its event horizon—the space around a black hole from which nothing, including light, can escape.

Why then discriminate between bonafide residents and others who are COVID positive
The Union is right
The Union must apply this logic to its other policies and not discriminate between one resident and another
What is an annular solar eclipse?
Well, a solar eclipse is an astronomical event observed when the sun, the moon, and the Earth are in alignment only during a new moon. The moon blocks out the sun casting a shadow on Earth’s surface causing a total, partial or annular eclipse.
A total solar eclipse occurs when all three of them are in a direct line, so the moon completely blocks the sun. While during a partial solar eclipse, the sun, moon and Earth are not exactly lined up so the moon casts only a small shadow on Sun’s surface
NASA's watch widget reveals: 5 Asteroids will flypast Earth in next four days
NASA's watch widget tracks asteroids and comets that will make relatively close approaches to Earth. Let us tell you that the average distance between the Earth and the moon is about 239,000 miles (385,000 kilometers).
.atellites are capturing protests and just about everything else on Earth
As protesters gathered in Washington over the weekend, their march across the city was documented by photography satellites flying overhead. One particular image stood out and made its way to various television newscasts. It showed the the bright yellow “Black Lives Matter” mural that had been painted on two blocks of asphalt near the White House. It was visual proof that the protests and their message had, in a sense, made their way to space.
The company that took the photo, Planet Labs Inc, has hundreds of satellites floating around Earth, enough that it can snap at least one photo of every spot on the planet every day, according to the startup. Such imagery used to be rare, expensive and controlled by governments. Now, Planet has built what amounts to a real-time accounting system of the earth that just about anyone can access by paying a fee
Huge fire breaks out at India gas well blowout
A massive fire has broken out at an oil field in north-eastern India, after gas that had been leaking for two weeks ignited, sending plumes of smoke and flames into the sky, and reportedly setting fire to nearby homes.
Five deaths in the area are being investigated for potential links to the gas well, which has been leaking “uncontrollably” for two weeks, according to Oil India, the state-owned company managing the oil field.
The gas well at the oil field, in Baghjan in the Tinsukia district of Assam state, started leaking in late May, the company said.
Tuesday’s explosion sent bright orange flames and huge, black plumes of smoke high into the sky, visible 10km (six miles) from the oil field
